How it works

The Referral Tree rewards users that refer customers to Apis Networks' services. There are two tiers based upon the level of referral. Direct referrals (tier 1), i.e. users whom you refer directly, and indirect referrals (tier 2), users that are referred to our services through a tier 1 referral. Each payment is prorated over the term of the payment until it reaches maturity.

Maturity happens once the next payment for the account comes through and the previous payment (the payment that has matured) is a guaranteed, non-refundable payment. When cashing out the accrued payment bonuses, only those payments which are matured may be cashed out.

Referrals are a one-to-one relationship. Only one account may have an account as a tier 1 referral. Only one tier 1 referral may have a tier 2 referral. We do not permit cyclic referrals, which exist when a user attempts to refer a user who in turn referred that user. Additionally we limit the referral bonus to one account per e-mail address/home address.

Referral Bonus Gradient

The table below gives a quick comparison of the rates and amount that must be accrued in a year in order to earn those rates.

Referral Matrix
Name Minimum Tier 1 Tier 2
Bronze $0 10% 5%
Silver $100 15% 7.5%
Gold $250 20% 10%
Platinum $500 25% 12.5%

For example, if you earn $120 total in referral bonuses between January 1 and December 31, you would be eligible for 15% tier 1 and 7.5% tier 2 rates. Consider the payments were received as follows and calculated with respect to the Bronze level:

$99 - January 1 - July 1
$5 - July 2
... - July 3 - December 31

All matured payments between January 1 and July 1 would be calculated at the Bronze level (10%, 5% for tier 1, 2 respectively). The $5 would be calculated at the Silver level, which then becomes $5.25. Any additional payments throughout the year would be calculated at the Silver level.

Attaching sign-ups to a referral profile

You can tie an account sign-up to your referral profile either by requesting the user specify your referral username in the field labeled If other, or through a referral, please give us more details: in step 2 of the sign-up process. This is the direct method.

The indirect method is to use r.php when giving the user a URL to access our site. For example, if your referral username is myuser, then http://apisnetworks.com/r.php?myuser/packages.php will redirect the user to http://apisnetworks.com/packages.php and tag your referral username to the session. When the user enters step two of the order process, How did you hear about our services? and If other, or through a referral, please give us more details: will be hidden. Once a user closers the browser, the information will be lost if the user did not sign-up.

Alternatively, instead of using r.php, you may use r, for example, http://apisnetworks.com/r?myuser/packages.php is analogous to the previous example. You may omit a URL to redirect by omitting data after your username. http://apisnetworks.com/r.php?myuser is perfectly acceptable and will redirect to the main page.

Special referral profiles

Special profiles exist for certain conditions. Typically these referral systems have a higher bonus gradient and better discounts for prospective customers. At this time we are accepting special referral accounts for college students and members of large communities. Please e-mail Matt directly at msaladna@apisnetworks.com for further information.

We ran this one a while back as a teaser for esprit.

"Think" motif, i.e. think outside the normal confines of cPanel-based hosting. We avoid direct naming here to eliminate any potential bias for customers of more prominent host names and instead just go for the features as a lure.
