Description
One-Click Installs are an easy way to add some great functionality to your website. You can easily add e-commerce capability, a photo gallery, a blog, and more without needing to go through a complicated installation process, possibly requiring shell access and knowledge. One-Click Installers are "wrappers" around the actual installation process, making installing the software significantly easier for you.
Use
One-Click Installs are accessed through Esprit under the Goodies menu heading. To install one of the available packages, click on the package name on the left under the Application Browser heading. When you do that, you'll see a description of the application, the amount of space it will take up when installed, a link to the website for the application, the email address of the author (note that this is the person who wrote the One-Click Installer, which usually isn't the same person who wrote the application) and a list of it's dependencies (e.g., MySQL, PHP, etc.). After that, there's a form that is used to configure the application.
The information requested will vary depending on the application, but commonly you'll need to indicate whether you want the application installed at a location under the main Document Root of your account, or under a Subdomain. For packages that use a database, you'll be required to supply a database name (the database must exist prior to starting the installation; use the Esprit MySQL Manager to create a new database if necessary before running the One-Click Installer).
Most of the items required will have "mouse-over" help available and should be self-explanatory.
When you have finished filling out the form, click on the 'Begin Installation Process button at the bottom of the form. Depending on which browser you're using, you will start to see information about the status of the installation appearing in the box just below the button you pressed to start the installation. You'll be informed when the installation is complete, and your application will be all set to go.

Writing Your Own
You may have noticed the View Source link at the bottom of the One-Click Installer form. That will display the source code for the One-Click Installer itself. If you feel so inclined, you can write your own One-Click Installer, which can then be made available to all users. For details, see this entry in the forums or this separate Wiki article.
